And when she closed her eyes and followed her intuition, awareness converged on itself and a great light lit Amanda’s space of representation. A deep calm came over her and quite naturally she was able to perceive her meaning and direction. At the center of the space, a vortex of pure energy opened up and enveloped her with kindness and understanding. She not only saw herself, she saw herself deeply connected with all other human beings. And that link, so dear, sought and cherished by millions of human beings who gave their lives for this ideal, was now a thread of consciousness that connected all human beings. That connection was more than a mere idea or feeling – it was part of the biological foundation sustaining the consciousness. It was part of the body itself, and that was just the beginning.

The Anniversary is a story where the past, present and future are mixed in the words of a grandfather who tries to tell his granddaughter about the extraordinary journey into the interior of the human being written in a life diary.
This writing does not pretend great theoretical developments of the humanist proposals. Nor is it intended to explain anything that has been explained on previous occasions. These pages are just one more expression of these proposals, lived intensely by the person who narrates them.
"Amanda took the disc in her hands, inspected it with an interest that only those who have developed a deep knowledge of certain subjects have and with her voice a little altered by the enthusiasm that she tried to repress in her professional capacity, she told Dimitri that it was indeed a disk commonly used to store information and that the department still had a device that could read such antiquities.
And without asking more, she told Dimitri to follow her to the laboratory where Amanda sat in front of a keyboard and in a few minutes the disc was read and the contents appeared on the screen where both young people tried to contain their curiosity with great difficulty and the sensation of having opened a treasure from many years ago.
The screen lit up and the voice came through the speakers clearly."
